Are you a guy who is looking for a way to get that girl in your life interested in snakes? Well, trans-pecos rat snakes may be just what you are looking for! These cute guys have huge eyes that protude from their heads giving them great vision when they are out roaming the deserts at night. There's something about those eyes and/or their overall delicateness that seems to win women over. (Okay, so far my wife is an exception. But don't let this deter you.) |

Although this is a sexual pair, I have no idea which is the male and which is the female. But one is pale green in color (top and bottom of this page) and the other is pale gray. I don't know if they will be changing color at all as they grow older. I have heard that they will reach 5' in length and I must say, that that will be quite the snake! These are calm, docile snakes that sure are fun to have. When I show groups of snakes to friends or school children, the girls in the group always take a fancy to these. So guys, if you're looking for that perfect anniversary present.......... :) |
