Welcome to my world of reptiles. I currently own a collection of boas, pythons, and colubrids that I get a great deal of enjoyment from and I am going to use this site to display pictures and information about them. I have been a snake lover for most of my life. I grew up in Virginia and used to spend a lot of time outdoors investigating nature. There were quite a few types of reptiles that my friends and I would find and bring home to show Mom. Eastern box turtles, red-spotted newts, ringnecked snakes, and water snakes were all visitors in our home. Now I am grown up (sort of) and have a family of my own and live out in the Rocky Mountain part of the United States. I take my children out to go snake hunting periodically and we have a great time enjoying the outdoors and taking pictures of the snakes we find. I have also bought a number of captive-bred snakes that we keep in our home. I guess that the unique aspect of our little group is that I have snakes from five of the six continents that have native snakes. They are unusual pets but they are a joy to watch and observe. Hopefully you'll enjoy the pictures and information that I have about them here. |
